WHAT'S NEEDED

    Homemade Pizza Sauce
  • 1 16 ounce can San Marzano tomatoes, whole
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Cholula® Green Pepper Hot Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Pizza
  • 1 8 ounce pizza dough, defrosted
  • 1/2 cup homemade pizza sauce
  • 1/4 cup white mushrooms, sliced
  • 8 slices fresh mozzarella, sliced 1/4 inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Cholula Green Pepper

    For the sauce, blend the ingredients together until well blended.

    Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Roll out pizza dough on a 14 inch pizza plate, making sure the dough is even.

    Spread sauce evenly on the dough, leaving about 1 inch from the edge for the crust.

    Place the mozzarella on the pizza, then top with mushrooms. Brush the crust with extra virgin olive oil.

    Bake for 14 minutes, or until the cheese turns slightly golden brown. Drizzle with Cholula Green Pepper.
