Servings: 4 (1-cup)

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups (500 ml) milk
  • 2 cups (500 ml) thickened cream
  • 2 tbsps white sugar
  • 1/4 tsp McCormick Ground Cinnamon, plus more for garnish
  • 225 g 70% dark chocolate, finely chopped, plus more for garnish
  • 2 tbsps Cholula® Original Hot Sauce
  • Whipped cream, to garnish
  • 4 sticks McCormick® Cinnamon Sticks, to garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1 Combine milk, cream, sugar and cinnamon in medium saucepan, bring just to boil on medium heat. Remove from heat.
  • 2 Whisk chocolate into the warm cream mixture until melted and mixture is frothy add Cholula® Original Hot Sauce; mix until smooth.
  • 3 Serve with whipped cream and cinnamon sticks. Sprinkle with extra cinnamon and chocolate shavings, if desired

    Tips:
    • Fun fact: A Molinillo is traditionally used to mix and froth warm drinks like hot chocolate or Champurrado in Mexican and Latin American cuisine. The tool is typically carved from one piece of wood, with a long handle and a sturdy base with moving rings and indentations. To use a molinillo, roll the handle back and forth between the palms of your hands to churn and froth hot chocolate.
