This year, we’ve ventured into the mountains of California in search of true Cholula Hot Sauce fans. It has been a blazing success!

To reach this wiley crowd, Cholula is a proud to be a sponsor of the California USASA Snowboarding Competitions. The USA Snowboarding Association was founded in 1987 to represent the grass roots of snowboarding. USASA grants scholarships to aid athletes in their educational pursuits and provides an outlet for snowboarders of all ages to challenge themselves and their friends.

Cholula Hot Sauce is represented at 69 events at 15 resorts throughout California. (see list below) Cholula Hot Sauce is featured in banners on the mountain, competitor’s bibs, prize pools, on tables and even has a special award – The Cholula Hot Shot.

We’ve had lots of fun getting to know everyone in this great organization. Meeting the Cholula junkies is always an experience. Thanks to everyone who made our events a huge success – from the resorts to the conference presidents and all the competitors in between – you’ve been great! Cholula California USASA Tour 2002

Mountain High
January 5th & 6th

The Cholula Gang joined Mountain High for a weekend festival in beautiful weather and good company. We were there to help support the Boarding for Breast Cancer event. Lots of cool folks stopped by for chips and Cholula, a toss of the tortilla and to hear the bands play all day long.

Mammoth Mountain
February 3rd


Perfect conditions, perfect weather and perfect fun. The crowds at Mammoth were a blast. They ran us out of sample bottles, chips, t-shirts, magnets –everything – early in the day!

Snow Summit with KROQ
February 7th – 10th

We put our groove on for a different kind of Cholula sampling. KROQ hosted a happenin’ booth during the Van’s Triple Crown event at Snow Summit. The giant inflatable Cholula bottle was in fine form as were the extreme Cholula Hot Sauce eatin’ contestants.



Northstar-at-Tahoe
February 9th & 10th

Our super skilled team took to the high country for another great sampling event. Everyone was excited to see the Cholula booth roll into town. All day tortilla tossin’ and chips galore kept the crowds busy.

Another Hot Shot from the South Lake Tahoe Conference signs his name to the coveted Cholula Hot Shot Trophy. He and lots like him will get a chance to keep the trophy, receive a year’s supply of Cholula and $100. Each conference in California will host a Hot Shot Show Down with a sporting game of Rock, Papers, Scissors at their annual awards dinner at the end of the season. Good Luck to all!
